The objective was clear and ambitious: to promote the 17 Global Goals for sustainable development to as many people on the planet as possible. Radio Everyone was designed to be the voice of this campaign, featuring content from world leaders and celebrities like Bono, Paloma Faith, and Cate Blanchett - all tailored to a global audience.
For freelance radio producer John Cranmer, the logistical challenge was immense. He was faced with scheduling a week's worth of unique content across several languages for multiple streams, ensuring each broadcast was timed perfectly for its target region.
"I was faced with the prospect of scheduling 7 days worth of content in 10 different languages. It became apparent the only way we could do this was to work with someone that had a pretty sophisticated scheduling system."
Radio.co came through with some seriously powerful and easy-to-use tools that made managing this complex, multi-stream event a breeze. The platform was a game-changer, ticking all the boxes needed for success.
"Everything's cloud-based - it meant we could do it from wherever, which made a massive difference."
The Radio Everyone pop-up station was a phenomenal success, exceeding all expectations. Reaching over 253 million listeners in 117 countries, it demonstrated the incredible power of online radio to deliver a unified message to a massive, global audience. The project proved that even the most ambitious broadcasting goals are achievable with the right tools.
